Our story
What we actually do
Camino Confidence & Beyond exists to give women a safe space to chase a dream they might otherwise have quietly shelved: walking the Camino de Santiago. We source and book on all itineraries, put together a rooming list, and guide the whole trip in person, so all that's left for you to do is enjoy it.
It grew out of founder Carol Alexander-Price's own experience of losing confidence and letting anxiety take the wheel, as so many of us do at some point. Camino Confidence & Beyond is her answer to that: a company built to help women rebuild their confidence and find the tools to make the Camino real, not just a someday-dream.

All you have to do is sleep, eat, walk, repeat. Your Camino guide will do the rest.
Camino Confidence & Beyond

Slow Stroll
A small-group, fully guided walking holiday along a stage of the Camino de Santiago (or one of our other trails), paced gently enough to actually enjoy the scenery, not race through it.
≤10
women per group, guided throughout
10–15km
average daily walking distance
Twin ensuite
rooms, hand-checked by us
Daily
luggage transfer, so you walk with just a day pack
Very rarely, due to the remoteness of some of the stops, you may have to share a larger room or dormitory, but we always ensure the accommodation is good!
Who it's for
Women of a certain age, walking for all kinds of reasons
Camino Confidence & Beyond is for women who like the idea of the Camino, but not the idea of doing it alone. We've walked with:
-
Women who've recently lost a partner, and aren't ready to travel solo
-
Women going through a late-life divorce, rebuilding from scratch
-
Women who've lost their sense of role or purpose as children leave home, or parents pass away
-
Women who've simply never travelled alone before, and want good company for a first big trip
-
Women whose families feel far happier knowing they're walking as part of a group
And we don't disappear once you've found your feet — many of the women we've guided go on to walk alone with total confidence, and plenty stay friends with us and each other for years afterwards.
